Genvinset HLA B27v5 is a Real-Time PCR kit for the screening of HLAB*27 alleles using hydrolysis-probe technology. Developed by BDR Diagnostics, the assay is supplied in convenient 24-test and 48-test formats, providing laboratories with dedicated reagents for an HLA-B27 Real-Time PCR workflow.

The Genvinset HLA B27v5 Primer Mix is intended for Real-Time PCR screening of HLAB27 alleles with hydrolysis probes, while the Master Mix provides the reaction mix used for HLAB27 screening with TaqMan hydrolysis probes.

The kit also contains a Positive Control, which is used to evaluate test validity, together with the Genvinset Reaction Blank. This combination provides the principal reagents and controls described by the manufacturer for the HLA B27v5 PCR workflow.

The reagents should be stored at −30°C to −18°C in a dry and well-ventilated location and according to the instructions shown on the product label. The SDS states that stability is maintained under the recommended handling and storage conditions; for components where an expiry is specified, the vial expiry date should be followed rather than assuming a fixed shelf life in months.
